YiQing Lü completed his undergraduate and master's studies in Biochemistry at McGill University, followed by his doctoral studies in Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto and Mount Sinai Hospital. He has held faculty positions at several institutions, including Suffolk University, Harvard University, the University of Toronto, and Portage College. In Fall 2024, he joined McGill University as a faculty member at the Ingram School of Nursing and the Faculty of Medicine.
YiQing's research focuses on functional genomics, proteomics, and the molecular mechanisms of cancer biology, with a particular interest in the p53 tumor suppressor protein and human adenoviruses. He also explores community care approaches for hereditary genetic diseases. His teaching interests include genetics, cancer biology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, pharmacology, statistics, and programming, with an emphasis on innovative and integrated science teaching.
