Irene Sarasua is full-time Assistant Professor at the Ingram School of Nursing, teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs. She joined the School of Nursing in 2007 as part-time faculty. Irene was Clinical Nurse Specialist in Maternal-Child Health and subsequently Head Nurse of the Family Birthing Centre and Antepartum Units of the Jewish General Hospital. She is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and holds Canadian Nurses Association certification in perinatal nursing.  

Irene holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies (University of Toronto), a Master of Science (Applied) in Nursing (McGill University), and a Graduate Certificate in Health Administration (Université de Montréal).
