Candice joined ISoN in February of 2023. She holds a university certificate in Human resources from UQAM, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from McGill, a Healthcare leadership certificate and is currently completing her master’s degree in nursing.
Prior to taking on her full-time position at McGill, she held various positions as a nurse in a birthing center, homecare, palliative care and as a nurse consultant for COPD and associated chronic illnesses. She was also a manager in various settings including a birthing center, COVID19 clinics and head of primary care for a Montreal Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre.
She worked on many projects, including the mobile screening clinics in CHSLDs, the opening and operations for two COVID screening clinics and of the GAP (Primary Care Access Point) for a Montreal Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre. Both projects involved the development of many nursing trajectories, protocols, and procedures, as well as teaching plans.
During her time as a nurse consultant for COPD and associated chronic illnesses, she participated in a McGill research project, which led to the published research article: « Experience of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease receiving Integrated Telehealth Nursing Services during COVID-19 Lockdown”. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35915510/
