General Description


LOCATION

The clinic is located in Lac Brome, 16 km east of Cowansville from the Missisquoi Perkins Hospital. The teaching site is located on the territory of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) de l’Estrie.

CLINICAL EXPOSURE AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Rotation primarily done in Clinic.

Trainees can be exposed to:
• Minor Procedures
• Other clinical exposures: Minor Surgery, Alcoholism, Drug addiction, Chronic pain and ADHD

Lodging


TYPE OF LODGING

Lodging is provided by the establishment, and is located in Cowansville at 16 kilometers away from the clinic (A car is required).

Trainees are lodged in a shared apartment. Trainees have a private room and share common gender neutral areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room).

Trainees must book their lodging 3 weeks prior to the rotation by contacting Mrs. Mailloux.

Lodging can be available the evening before the rotation.

Trainees are expected at the Clinic at 8:00 am on the first day of their rotation.

Please read the Instructions for the apartment before rotation.

Note: It is important that everyone does their share to keep all common areas clean and safe at any time.

Transportation


Trainees can travel to the site only by car. It is required to have a car for this rotation.

Depending on the location of their base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs.

Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.


TRAVELING BY CAR

Eastern Township Autoroute #10, take exit 74. Turn left on Pierre Laporte Blvd. and continue until you reach Rue Principale. Take Rue Principale East until Route 104. Continue straight along Rte 104 (approx. 15 km). On Victoria, turn left and the clinic is just a little further down the road.
