Master of Public Policy

Scholarships and Funding

Max Bell School Scholarships

Financial accessibility is important to the Max Bell School and for that reason it is our pleasure to announce the Max Bell School will be awarding scholarships based on merit. Scholarship consideration is automatic for all applicants, unless otherwise specified. Several Max Bell School entrance scholarships will be available. This funding is being directly offered by the Max Bell School of Public Policy. The funding will be awarded to accepted students during their year attending the MPP program.

Scholarships for New Voices in Public Policy

Each year, the Max Bell School offers two special scholarships to incoming MPP students. The Scholarships for New Voices in Public Policy are granted to exceptional incoming Max Bell School MPP students who aspire in their professional careers to contribute to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion. To apply, students must submit their CV and a one-page statement demonstrating their commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in their professional career, community engagement, or personal development. Applications should be submitted to Helen Aaron (helen.aaron [at] mcgill.ca) by June 1, 2024. Each scholarship is valued at $5,000 and is funded by the Max Bell School.

MPP In-Course Financial Aid

MPP students can apply for In-Course Financial Aid for modest, interest-free loans while in full-time studies on the basis of demonstrated financial need.  Additional conditions may apply. The SSAO webpage outlines the steps for completing the application in Minerva and whether contacting the SSAO office for an appointment is required.
