From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Application to 2024-2025 Mooting Competitions

The mooting competitions offered in 2024-2025 may be among those listed below. However, the Faculty of Law has not committed to participate in each; as a result, available placements are limited.

Open to students who have completed at least 2 years of the BCL/JD Program. Moots are three (3) non-course credits. Students who have already completed 15 non-course credits are not eligible. Consult the Competitive Mooting page on the SAO's site for complete details.

Pre-requisites:

  • PRAC 200 Advocacy is required for all moots.
  • Min. CGPA 2.70
  • For the Jessup International Law Moot: PUB2 105 Public International Law is required.
  • Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Moot: preference will be given to Indigenous students (please indicate this in your CV). If you are only interested in this moot, you need not try out, but you should submit a letter of intent c/o the SAO.
