Tamir Avigdor received his M.sc in Brain and Behavioral Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In his thesis on the mechanism of general anesthesia, he explored the ECoG response followed by acute microinjection of GABA-R agonist.

He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. studies in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience at McGill University. His research will focus on HD-EEG in order to develop markers for prediction of the epileptogenic zone with the ultimate goal to achieve a more accurate and time-efficient non-invasive identification of the epileptogenic zone without the need to record seizures in ideally less than 24 hours.
