Katharina Schiller, PhD

 

Katharina Schiller is a children’s psychologist from the Hospital Group Ostallgaeu-Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, Germany. She received her PhD from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Steffen Berweck and Prof. Dr. Markus Rauchenzauner. Her PhD thesis focused on quality of life in children and adolescents with neurological disorders (cerebral palsy and epilepsy) examining the influence of side effects of treatments and interaction of comorbidities.

Katharina’s projects as a postdoctoral research fellow in Dr. Frauscher’s lab aim to broaden her understanding of the interaction of sleep and epilepsy as well as the impact on cognition and quality of life in patients with epilepsy by using novel electrophysiological markers and high-density EEG.
