Selection Process

Selection Process

The selection of applicants is based on AFK results, personal statement, curriculum vitae (CV), CASPer Test and interviews. We consider human and social skills as important as academic performance in the selection of our students. Applicants must meet a minimum score in these two indicators to move forward in the process. The files of candidates who are not invited for interviews are not considered further.

Being selected for an interview

A preliminary assessment will determine the candidates that will be invited for an interview. The preliminary assessment is based on academic performance (score on the NDEB AFK) (70%) and non-academic criteria assessed through the online CASPer Test (10%) and CV & Personal Statement) (20%).

Multiple Mini Interviews

Interviews are done using the multiple mini-interview (MMI) format and are conducted in person. These mini-interviews consist of multiple stations that can be task-oriented, simulation- or scenario-oriented, or discussion-oriented. You can refer to McGill Career Planning Service’s website for more information about the MMIs.

► Interviews will take place on Monday, October 23rd, 2017 AM. Please note that candidates will only have a few days to accept or decline the invitation.

Final Selection

Following the MMI, the final ranking list for applicants to the Degree Completion Program is based 100% on the MMI score.
