We are pleased to announce that 50 students successfully passed the exam, while one among them, Marie-France Legault (BCom’15, GCPA'16), placed on the national honour roll. Since 2014 Mrs. Heike Birlenbach holds the position of Vice President Sales Europe Lufthansa Group Airlines. As of next year, 2017, she will assume the role of Vice President Sales EMEA Lufthansa Group Airlines. In this position Birlenbach will not only be responsible for all sales and commercial activities in Europe but also in the Middle East and Africa. With this extended responsibility she will lead the newly merged sales area, EMEA, which, as of 2017 will combine the two former sales areas – Europe and Africa/Middle East.

I spent the first fourteen years of my life under communism. When my parents got out in 1962, I realized to my utter astonishment that much of academia was on the left, praising communism, rationalizing increased centralization of powers under a variety of jargons. Even the US was not immune to these ideas, and that the left and academia despised workers who wanted routine lives, rather than revolutions.

Air Miles Canada may have thought abandoning its unpopular expiration policy would calm the cardholder backlash from those who rushed to spend miles, but were frustrated by full flights, sold out merchandise, and long customer service delays. In fact, many fans of the popular loyalty rewards program are still fuming mad.

“Air Miles is going to increase the number of miles it takes to redeem a particular product or service,” said Corey Phelps, an associate professor of strategy and organization at McGill University.
