The CAHS Fellowship is considered one of the highest honours for members of the Canadian health sciences community.
2027 Edition of the Baxter Family Competition on Federalism Postponed
The Peter MacKell Chair in Federalism announces an exceptional shift in the biennial cycle of the Baxter Family Competition. As a result, the next Baxter Symposium will not take place in 2027. Details regarding future editions of the competition will follow shortly.

Named in honour of the late professor and former dean John W. Durnford (BCL'52), and conferred by students, this annual award recognizes a law professor’s exceptional pedagogy.
McGill Law ranked among the global top 30 law schools by QS
The Faculty of Law was again ranked among the world’s top universities at which to study law by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject in Law and Legal Studies placed McGill Law 30th worldwide.
Since QS introduced the ranking in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently placed in the top 50 institutions globally. The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, H-index citations, and citations per paper.
