From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Welcome to the Department of Biochemistry

The Department of Biochemistry offers a variety of undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral programs. The Department's 30 full time members and 25 adjunct and associate members lead research teams pursuing exciting, innovative science. They have made groundbreaking discoveries, from identifying the gene that causes spina bifida to documenting complex processes governing the regulation of protein synthesis to tracking gene expression in breast cancer development.
