The student societies organize many activities and offer the chance to get involved in the McGill Community. Post-graduate student society (PGSS) represents all graduate students in McGill University. Our student organization,
Biological and Biomedical Engineering Student Society (BBMESS) is a part of PGSS and organizes academic and social events for our students.
McGill offers a wide range of services for students including: career planning services, chaplaincy services, counselling, mental health, student health, tutorials and support for students with disabilities.

The McGill Athletics & recreation Centre is located on Campus and offers many sports activities. Students from the department participate in soccer and hockey tournaments. Mount Royal located next to McGill is criss-crossed by many gravel roads and small paths that allow for a quick jogging in the forest over lunch or at any other time.
