The McGill University Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is one of Canada’s leading academic departments of ophthalmology & visual sciences. We are renowned for our basic and clinical research into understanding the mechanisms of vision, ocular genetics, retinal pathophysiology, glaucoma, and ocular immunology. We have a Royal College accredited residency program, well-recognized fellowship programs, and an unparalleled international faculty of researchers, specialists, and subspecialists. Our primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary patient care is located at five principal sites: the McGill Academic Eye Centre, the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Jewish General Hospital, the Montreal General Hospital, and St. Mary’s Hospital.
