Changes to how you access Books 24x7 e-books

As of November 3, 2015, when you access a Books 24x7 e-book through WorldCat Local or from a link on the Library web site, you'll be able to
access the e-book simply by logging in with your McGill username (email address) and password.

You will no longer need to create or use a separate Books 24x7 account to access these e-books.

EndNote Mac users: hold off on installing Office 2016

EndNote X7 is not currently compatible with Microsoft Word 2016 for Mac. The vendor, Thomson Reuters, will be releasing a free patch for it in September or October. In the meantime, Office 2011 is available for free to McGill students, faculty, and staff through the Office 365 site.

If you've already installed Office 2016, however, workarounds are available.
