Published: 8 February 2010

Four BCom Case Teams made the finals at the 32nd annual ICBC (Inter-Collegiate Business Competition) held at Queen's University on January 7 to 10, 2010 with both the Ethics and Finance teams taking first place overall.

  • Debate-Celine Junke & Diana Pirri
  • Ethics- Charlotte Mcleod & Daniella Marando
  • Finance- Fatoumata Diane & Chloe Kangas
  • Marketing- Margeaux Girardin & Albert Klein

In October 2009,  these teams participated in a written case competition, finishing top six.  These six teams were invited to Queen's University in January 2010, where they had 5.5 hours to analyze a new case that was then presented to a panel of representatives of the business community.

Special thanks go to Profs. Vadim di Pietro, Richard Donovan, Suzanne Gagnon and Larry Goldsman who devoted their time and energy coaching the teams.  Prof. Goldsman also accompanied the Desautels delegation to Queen's.

The Inter-Collegiate Business Competition is Canada's oldest and largest undergraduate business case competition. Hosted annually by Queen's University students, the ICBC attracts business students from across the nation and beyond. The ICBC is an ideal opportunity for students, faculty and prominent members of the business community to interact, network and exchange ideas and experiences.
