Get more action!

Fans of the new Call to action block will be happy to hear about our new Enhanced view mode. The new view mode has been added to the existing view mode options, Full, Half and Third.

When you create Call to action elements with Enhanced view mode, the content will be prominently displayed in an eye-catching red box with white text.

What is a call to action?

A call to action is an instruction that tells your site visitors where to click to take the next step, e.g. "Register now", "Sign up" or "Learn more". To ensure your call to action content is prominently featured, we recommend minimizing the number of Call to action elements displayed per page, and that only one Enhanced Call to action element appear per page.

Features of  the Enhanced Call to action view mode

Enhanced call to action example

  • Enhanced Call to action elements placed in the Highlighted region will float in the top right corner of the browser window ensuring your message will remain visible to your site visitors no matter how far down they scroll
  • Content can include descriptive text, an image and a link
  • An arrow prompts site visitors to click to take action
  • Your content is flexible and easily customizable

Why red?

The red used for the highlight colour is a secondary colour specified in the WMS style guide. Visit the WMS website for a full overview of WMS McGill hex colours. For detailed instructions, read the IT Knowledge Base article, Create a Call to action block in the WMS.
