From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Say goodbye to Paste from Word

With the latest upgrades to WYSIWYG Editor, you won't be missing it.

The latest improvements to the WYSIWYG Editor will strip extraneous formatting when content from a document is pasted directly into the Body text area.

This means that users will no longer need the Paste from Word button to ensure clean content formatting from MS Word documents.

You’ll notice that direct pasting is now comparable, and even improves upon Paste from Word:

  • Cleaner <td> styles
  • Empty <p> tags are stripped
  • <i> tags for italics
  • <b> tags for bold
  • Alignments are preserved
