Dr. Tyler Safran is a dual-fellowship trained, Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He earned his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal before completing his residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the McGill University Health Centre.
Following residency, Dr. Safran pursued advanced fellowship training in aesthetic surgery at the University of Southern California, as well as an additional fellowship in breast reconstruction and microvascular surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
An active researcher and surgical innovator, Dr. Safran has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to multiple textbook chapters, and presented at national and international conferences. He serves as a peer reviewer for leading journals, including Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. While in training, he earned a master’s degree in Experimental Surgery from McGill, where his award-winning thesis examined the use of topical tranexamic acid in breast reconstruction.
