Dr. Peter Chan M.D., C.M., M.Sc., F.R.C.S.(C)., F.A.C.S. is Professor of Surgery of McGill University and the Director of Male Reproductive Medicine at the McGill University Health Center. Dr. Chan is Past President of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons. He served previously as an executive board member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) as the Chair of the Finance Committee. He has also served as members of the executive committees of the American Society of Andrology and the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction (SSMR) of the AUA.
Dr. Chan has been involved in Andrology basic science research on epididymal sperm maturation since 1988 at McGill University. He has continuously served as a Principal and Co-Principal investigator for multiple research grants funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) focusing on various aspects on men’s health including the impact of cancer therapies on sperm chromatin integrity, male fertility
