Dr. Carol-Ann Vasilevsky

Dr Vasilevsky earned her MDCM from McGill University where she completed her residency in General Surgery. She subsequently obtained sub-specialty training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Minnesota and returned to McGill University. She joined the staff at the Jewish General Hospital where she is currently the Director of the Division of Colorectal Surgery. She holds the rank of Associate Professor of Surgery & Oncology at McGill University. She served as President of the Canadian Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and was Chair of the Colorectal Surgery subcommittee at the Canadian Association of General Surgeons. She served on the National Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee. Her interests include colorectal cancer screening and the surgical management of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and diverticular disease.
