Dr. William D. Buie, Chief of Surgery at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary and Program Director for Colon and Rectal Surgery, obtained his MD and MSc in Experimental Surgery from the University of Alberta. After a rotating internship in Vancouver, he completed a residency in General Surgery at the University of Alberta followed by a teaching fellowship at the University of Alberta and a two year residency in Colorectal Surgery at the University of Minnesota
