Upper Residences: McConnell, Molson, Gardner

Beautiful Mount Royal Park provides the backdrop for these residence halls, located just north of McGill's main campus. Constructed in 1962, McConnell, Molson and Gardner Halls join Douglas Hall to bring together over 800 students in one neighborhood. This ideal location, referred to as “Upper Rez,” leaves the commotion of urban Montreal behind, providing privacy and a genuine feeling of community amongst residents.

McConnell, Molson and Gardner Halls surround the Bishop Mountain Hall cafeteria. BMH is strategically placed so that residents of all three halls can take their meals in one central location, further enhancing the sense of community.

Nature lovers and those with athletic inclinations will love the combination of green space and easy access to McGill's athletic facilities that Upper Rez provides.

Single and double occupancy rooms, dormitory-style housing
Upper Residence Halls are completely co-ed. All washrooms and floors are mixed gender.
Each wing also has a shared kitchenette
Gardner Hall: 218 rooms housing 219 male and female students
McConnell Hall: 222 rooms housing 224 male and female students
Molson Hall: 218 rooms housing 219 male and female students
The lease is 8 months in length, beginning on Move-in Weekend and ending on April 30th, the last day of final exams.
Electricity, hot water and heating are included in the rent.
Twin size bed and mattress, desk, chair, dresser, bookshelf, lamp, drapery, wastepaper basket. Each room is equipped with a small fridge.
Internet connection and WiFi are included in the rent. Telephone service is not provided by McGill. Students may purchase phone plans from an independent mobile service provider, or use pre-paid calling cards.

Upper Rez students enjoy access to the nearby Bishop Mountain Dining Hall. Students living in Upper Rez are on the Mandatory Meal Plan and have access to all the Dining Halls and On Campus Restaurants.
