Research Scope at SPOT

The School of Physical & Occupational Therapy (SPOT) has over 30 researchers pursuing research activities across the broad spectrum of the rehabilitation science:

  • from the fragile premature infant to the frail elderly (target populations)
  • from acute intensive care to community and home-based care (health services)
  • including prevention - intervention - chronic disease management - health promotion (therapeutic strategies)
  • from local to global (scope of interest)
  • between interdisciplinary investigators AND stakeholder partners (teams)

Applying a scholarship of practice model, SPOT researchers create and translate new knowledge through partnership with key stakeholders to promote the health and well-being of individuals and societies.
