The Director and Associate Dean of SPOT, Laurie Snider, PhD is delighted to announce two awardees:
Dana Anaby, PhD has been awarded a Project Grant from the CIHR. With Co-Investigator Mindy Levin, PhD, she will be examining: The impact of participation on body functions among youth with physical disabilities; A pragmatic individual-based study.

SPOT earns Sustainability Bronze
SPOT earns Sustainability Bronze!
The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy has been awarded the Bronze level rating for the unit, by McGill's Office of Sustainability. The designation is a testament to the importance that the unit places on activities that are respectful of the three dimensions of sustainability: social, economic and environment.


Noémi Dahan-Oliel, PhD OT, guest co-editor in American Journal of Medical Genetics
Dr. Dahan-Oliel, together with Dr. Judith Hall, were guest editors for the American Journal of Medical Genetics (Part C Seminars in Medical Genetics) for the topics of Arthrogryposis.

Raphael Lencucha, PhD invited to World Health Organization
Raphael Lencucha, PhD, has been invited to serve on an expert panel at the World Health Organization on the implementation of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products (the first public health treaty negotiated under the auspices of the WHO).

Rosemary Wedderburn Brown awarded to Dr. Shikako-Thomas
The School is delighted to announce that Keiko Shikako-Thomas, PhD has been awarded the Rosemary Wedderburn Brown Award from the Faculty of Medicine. This is an award for promising researchers in the early stages of their careers.

Bernadette Nedelec, PhD promoted to Full Professor
Bernadette Nedelec, erg, PhD has been promoted to Full Professor in the OT Program at the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy (SPOT). Dr. Nedelec's promotion is in recognition of her excellence in research, teaching and service to the profession and the School. Congratulations from everyone at SPOT.
