McGill School of Social Work Race Caucus

Friday, September 11, 2020 11:30to13:00
Wilson Hall 3506 rue University, Montreal, QC, H3A 2A7, CA

The Race Caucus at the McGill School of Social Work (SSW) is a newly formed group that aims to create a space for its members to critically explore how race, racialization, and racism operates in social work education, pedagogy, and research, and in turn, advocates for the development and implementation of responsive, needs-based interventions within the SSW.

This caucus builds on past and ongoing organizing efforts by racialized students, staff, and faculty members at the School, including the Racialized Students Network.  The caucus will meet every second Friday of the month with our first meeting scheduled for September 11th at 11:30 am.

Membership: Members of the McGill SSW community who self-identify as racialized, Black, Indigenous, and/or a person of colour.

If you’re interested in joining the Caucus, please email alicia.kyte [at] mcgill.ca (Dr. Alicia Boatswain-Kyte)  with your name, affiliation to McGill SSW (student, staff, faculty, alumni), and email address.
