Tuition & Fees

Online Graduate Certificate Tuition & Fees

For current tuition and fee information, refer to the McGill Fee Calculator and online program tuition and fees information.

  • Students residing in Quebec pay the in-province rate. All students must provide proof of Quebec residency (i.e. have Permanent Residency or Citizenship in Canada) in order to not have to pay the international supplement. International students studying from inside Quebec (i.e. have a work permit or other temporary non-student status), will be charged an international supplement rate in addition to tuition.
  • Students residing outside of Quebec pay the out-of-province rate.
  • Please select your status (Quebec, Non-Quebec Canadian, International) and review your estimated tuition costs on the McGill Graduate Tuition & Fees Calculator.

Tuition fees are charged at the per credit rate. Most regular university charges will apply to all students, but certain fees may be reduced or eliminated for students located outside the province while studying. For example, the Athletics & Recreation Fee is not charged to students studying outside Quebec. In some courses, students are expected to purchase additional virtual lab activities from third-party providers. More details will be provided by course instructors.

To be considered for in-province tuition rates for the program, you must be living in Quebec for the duration of the program. All other students will pay the deregulated tuition rates. More information on declaring your location can be found here

Since the program is part-time, the program is not typically eligible for provincial student loans and bursaries programs. There are some special circumstances where there are exceptions to this rule. If you have questions about provincial student loans and bursaries, please contact your provincial loan provider for more information, or McGill's Scholarships and Student Aid Office

Application fee

For the current application fee for graduate studies programs, please refer to McGill's Fees, fines and charges page, under "All application fees." Please note that application fees are non-refundable.

Lab fees

Most of the INFS 68x Cybersecurity courses require additional lab purchases, ranging from $30-$160 per course. This is akin to buying a textbook and is mandatory for each course. Labs are an integral part of the learning experience as they provide hands-on application of knowledge into a real-world scenario.
