Advising Office

The Psychology Undergraduate Office provides academic advising and a wealth of general resources for Psychology undergraduate students.

The advising office also runs a number of information sessions throughout the year and handles the majority of program and course applications as well as undergraduate summer fellowship programs.

Location: Department of Psychology, 2001 McGill College, Room 469

Hours: The Undergraduate Office is open Monday - Friday between 9.30am-12.30pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm.

Academic Advising

Departmental advisors assist students in program planning. To schedule an appointment with Paola or Sarah, please click on the link below. The advising schedule is updated at the end of each week for the following week. Please consult the current schedule.

NOTE: If you have questions about graduation, verifying credits for psych program, graduate schools, course equivalencies, OPQ, study abroad, etc., please make an appointment with Paola or Sarah. For other general questions, you can also meet with Julia during her drop-in times. For advising about Freshman and elective courses, please contact an advisor in your Faculty (Faculty of Arts or Science).

When should you see an advisor?

  • Once a year to approve your course selection.
  • If you wish to withdraw from a required course. 
  • If you are seeking course/program equivalency for any studies undertaken abroad.
  • If you are experiencing extenuating circumstances. 
  • If you need general guidance for your studies.
