Academic Advising
Departmental advisors assist students in program planning. The regular drop-in advising office hours are updated on a weekly basis and are posted on this website. At the start of each semester, additional advising hours are available. Please consult the current schedule.
Freshmen (97-120 credit program) are typically advised by a faculty advisor. At the end of the freshman year, after students declare a program, they are encouraged to consult with their departmental advisor.
When should you see an advisor?
- Once a year to approve your course selection.
- If you wish to withdraw from a required course.
- If you are seeking course/program equivalency for any studies undertaken abroad.
- If you are experiencing extenuating circumstances.
- If you need general guidance for your studies.
