CANNABIS: L’INSTITUT DE SANTÉ PUBLIQUE SUGGÈRE UN ACCÈS GRADUEL POUR LES JEUNES Extrêmement sceptique, le ministre délégué à la Santé, Lionel Carmant, a renvoyé les experts de santé publique à une recherche effectuée par la docteure Gabriella Gobbi, de l'Université McGill, publiée mercredi et qui suggère que le diagnostic de dépression chez environ sept pour cent des Canadiens âgés de 18 à 30 ans est imputable au cannabis.

Taking on depression using AI

McGill-based startup Aifred Health recently nabbed first place and a $35,000 Milestone Award in the latest stage of the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE. By doing so, they also became one of 30 teams to qualify for the next phase of the four-year, $5-million competition whose final winner will be announced in 2020. The XPRIZEs are international monetary rewards meant to encourage technological development to benefit humanity.

Passing of Dr Marie-France Boudreault

It is with great sadness and regret that we inform you of the passing of Dr. Marie-France Boudreault.

Dr. Boudreault was a valued member of the Mental Health Mission for over 30+ years. As co-director of the internship program (MGH) she was a dedicated clinician and teacher, who was highly admired and respected by her interns. She had a wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise that she contributed to the Psychiatry Department.
