Online seminar - Eating a good apoptotic meal: Lessons from phagocytes

Friday, November 5, 2021 11:00to12:00

Every day, our bodies turnover 200-300 billion cells as part of normal healthy living. Specialized cells called phagocytes recognize and remove these dying cells via the process of efferocytosis. Failure in in efferocytosis leads to many inflammatory diseases, demonstrating its importance. Our laboratory focuses on how apoptotic cells are recognized and cleared in an immunologically silent fashion. This presentation focus on the molecules and mechanisms that control efferocytosis and their relevance to disease.

This seminar will be given online via Zoom. Details in attached poster.
