Graduate studies in Panama
The conservation of biodiversity (B), the maintenance of ecosystem services (ES), and the future of sustainability (S) — BESS — are among the most important issues in tropical environments, where most of the world's biodiversity and humans reside and interact. The BESS Program provides a multidisciplinary and immersive training to address these and other issues by providing practical skills, real-world experience, and interdisciplinary knowledge to BESS trainees. The program offers up to $14,000.00CA/ year in student stipends and $1,500.00CA/ year in travel allowance, and has no citizenship restrictions. The program will be of particular interest to students of the Panama Field Studies Semester who are considering to pursue graduate research with emphasis in Panama, and the neotropics in general. For further information please visit the BESS website.
