Welcome Dr. Rilla Schneider to the Department!

The Department of Pediatrics would like to introduce our newest member, Dr. Rilla Schneider, who was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition.

I am delighted to be returning to the MCH to join the amazing team of the Division of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition! I completed my undergraduate degree and medical school at McGill University and then did my residency in paediatrics at the MCH. I then moved to Toronto to pursue a fellowship in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. Given my love of clinical research, I am also pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the University of Toronto, with my research focused on biologic therapies in paediatric IBD.

In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors with my partner and our dog, Kirby. I spend my free weekends at Lac Notre Dame, swimming in the summer and skiing in the winter. I love to travel and explore new types of cuisine and have recently been trying to make some of my own!
