McGill Professional Schools Targeted Student Bursary Forms

Administered by Dialogue McGill, the McGill Professional Schools Targeted Bursary Program is for students pursuing full-time studies in McGill health care and social service programs with direct entry to licensure. In the case of nursing students, you must have appropriate English and French language fluency levels and be eligible for licensure by the OIIQ. You also must commit to working in the province of Quebec for at least one year following graduation.

Deadline to submit your application forms is in the fall.

F.A. Davis Nursing Undergraduate Scholarship

F.A. Davis. F.A. Davis is an independent Nursing, Medicine, and Health Sciences publisher located in Philadelphia, PA, offering a $1,500 student scholarship opportunity! This scholarship reflects their continual commitment to the education of nurses.

The McBurney Fellowship Program

The McBurney Fellowship Program is a unique opportunity for McGill faculty with partners in Latin America to receive funding to send and mentor one or more outstanding graduate or undergraduate students of all levels to serve with programs that are improving the health and social conditions faced by poor and marginalized populations in Latin America.

Funding for Indigenous students


Jean Goodwill Scholarship

Two $2,500.00 nursing scholarships are to be awarded and administered by the Canadian Indigenous
Nurses Association (CINA). The aim of the scholarship is to encourage nurses of Indigenous ancestry to
obtain the specialized knowledge they will require.

Note that applications have been put on hold since the COVID pandemic. Check the CINA website for updates on when the program will restart.


Canadian Nurses Foundation

The Canadian Nurses Foundation provides scholarships for nursing students across Canada at the baccalaureate, masters and Ph.D. levels. These scholarships are awarded based on merit and range from $750 to $10,000. Application period: January 1- March 15

OIIQ

The Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec offers a range of scholarships for baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral students. Application process opens in the spring.

RRISIQ

Each year, the Réseau de recherche en interventions en sciences infirmières du Québec hands out graduate level fellowships and undergraduate Honor type bursaries to promising students that are likely to become tomorrow's generation of nursing researchers.
