Founded in 1865, the Montreal Presbyterian College has long been a learning institution for men and women aspiring to serve their communities as ministers or leaders. The college used to be housed in the historic Morrice Hall (now used by the McGill Institute of Islamic Studies) and is currently located at 3495 Rue University. The building is home to classrooms, a library, a residence, a cafeteria and a chapel. The college's inner courtyard also serves as a green oasis and spiritual respite from the city's activity. Fun fact: James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, graduated from the college.
