12:30 PM: Pasta Lunch Come join the Newman Centre every Monday for a wonderful pasta lunch cooked by director Robin!

❤️4:00 - 5:00 PM: Spiritual Self Care Workshop Join MORSL for a one-hour introduction to spiritual self-care through energy work and diverse embodied practices (such as tapping, breathwork, moving meditation, chanting, and journaling) that can help you ground, grow, and build your toolbox for spiritual well-being.

5:00 - 6:00 PM: Hosted at MORSL: McGill Meditation Club Practice Join McGill Meditation Club at MORSL's Meditation Space (3610 McTavish 3rd floor) to practice diverse meditation techniques.

5:30 - 6:30 PM: Tajweed Classes for Sisters with the MSA. This class is designed for students at a beginner to intermediate level. If you can read Arabic, this course is perfect for you. We will explore key Tajweed rules. Location: SSMU 436.

6:00 PM: Strength and Struggle Class with Chabad Join Mica and Chloe for the first class in a 4 part series on Strength and Struggle taught by students for students! Wine and Cheese will be served.

Tuesday

10:15 - 11:15 AM: Coffee Cart Volunteer Activity with Chabadcare and Hillel Montreal. Join us as we deliver coffee & pastries to patients at the Glen Hospital.

12:00 PM: Taco Tuesday is every Tuesday at noon at the Newman Centre! Join us for a $5 lunch!

12:00-2:00 PM: Mount Royal Wellness Walk: Grad Students Edition The McGill Wellness Hub is partnering with Athletics and Recreation to invite you for a leisure walk on the iconic Mount Royal!

1:00 - 2:30 PM: Charity: Who is it for? Jewish and Islamic Perspectives Join Rabbi Whitman and Tasneem Alawadhi for a thought provoking talk on March 17th exploring the concept of charity through Islamic and Jewish lenses!

6:00 - 9:00 PM: Iftaar Dinner with Queer McGill, QPIRG & SASSA An evening of gathering and shared food during Ramadan. We welcome everyone to join, this space is created for community members that are fasting or simply joining in community!

8:00 PM: Weekly Small Compline with Orthodox Christian Fellowship Montreal and Fr. Stephane Bigham. Blessed Great Lent to all! This event is in the spirit of the season of prayer and fasting.

Wednesday

1:00 - 2:30 PM: Impacts of Bill 9: A Multifaith Dialogue with the MLSA, JLSA, MSSA, MORSL, and others. With Law 21 set to be challenged before the Supreme Court next week, conversations about Quebec’s secularism laws are more important than ever. The introduction of Bill 9, the Act respecting the reinforcement of laicity in Québec, has implications across many aspects of social life in Quebec. But what is driving these legislative developments? What rights and constitutional principles are at stake, and how are they shaping the experiences of diverse communities across Quebec? Open to everyone, this event brings together students, scholars, and community voices. Through a conversation centred on the social and human dimensions of these issues, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the debates and their specific impacts on students and university communities.

5:30 - 7:00 PM: Chet Darbaar with McGill Sikh Students Association Join us for Simran, Rehras Sahib, and Kirtan to reflect on the blessings of the past year and to seek guidance for the year ahead. May this new year bring peace and Chardi Kala to all.

12:00 - 12:45 PM: Mental Health Walking Group at McGill’s Macdonald Campus Take a break from your routine and explore the scenic trails around campus in a supportive and relaxed environment.

12:00 - 1:00 PM: Soup and Bagel Lunch at the Newman Centre The inimitable Soup and Bagel has returned to the Centre this week, so join us at noon every Thursday for a delicious $5 lunch!

3:30 - 4:30 PM: Tajweed Classes for Brothers with the MSA. This class is designed for students at a beginner to intermediate level. If you can read Arabic, this course is perfect for you. We will explore key Tajweed rules. Location: Musallah (SSMU B-09).

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Sisters' Weekly Surah As-Sajdah Memorization with the MSA. This semester, join us in memorizing Surah As-Sajdah! Already memorized it before? You’re still very welcome - this class is also open to those looking to revise and strengthen their recitation.

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Dua e Kumayl with McGill TMA All are welcome to be part of this gathering and connect with our community, happening every Thursday. Persian tea will be served. Location: SSMU Building, Room 403, 4th Floor.

Friday

❤️5:30 - 7:30 PM: Korean Buddhist Tea Ceremony and Temple Experience Join MORSL for an evening exploring the ancient traditions of Korean Buddhist Tea Ceremony (Darye) and the mindful art of Temple Food. This workshop combines healing through food and spiritual well-being with sustainable, zero-waste methods that treat eating a meal not just as fueling ourselves, but as a sacred, mindful act of gratitude toward the Earth.

6:00 - 8:00 PM: Faith Exploration with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Come for good conversations. Bring your doubts, perspectives and questions!

6:30 PM: Shabbat of Lions Join Hillel and Shaar Hashomayim as we welcome Iranian and Jewish student leaders and the community at large to celebrate the shared symbol of the lion in both cultures. In honour of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, the evening will feature Persian cuisine and Jewish music, as we bring in Shabbat together.

7:30 PM: Women's Discipleship Group with Power 2 Change (Women's group) A community journey that includes Bible study.

Saturday

10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Special Naw-Rúz Open House at the Bahá’í Shrine (registration required). A unique opportunity to celebrate Spring. Experience the Bahá’í New Year with spiritual refreshment, renewal and fellowship! There will be Naw-Rúz program with insights and readings about Naw-Rúz, and devotional prayers and reflections. Please register by choosing your preferred time to coincide with your visit to the Shrine
