Planted thanks to the initiative of McGill alumna Gloria Harding, who was active in the
Montreal Sri Chinmoy Meditation Centre before her passing,
Sri Chinmoy Peace Tree
the tree honours the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home peace run.
Plaque
Harding chose the crabapple tree, located near the Roddick Gates, as a living reminder for humanity’s collective longing for peace. She enjoyed the tree regularly, and was often present for peace run teams who stopped for group photos by this tree.
