MIME 203 MINE SURVEYING Instructor: Shahé Shnorhokian TA – Tutoring/Marking/Demoing/Other 2 at 64 hrs each Duties: (1) leading tutorials and AutoCAD demos in mine surveying, (2) grading mine surveying assignments and homework, explaining tutorial and lecture materials during office hours, (3) assisting the instructor in answering questions by email or during office hours, (4) demonstrating surveying instruments to small groups of students Actual distribution for hours per position to be assigned depending on enrolment. Requirements: Requires public speaking ability. Must have specifically taken a mine surveying course; a general or civil surveying course is deemed insufficient. Practical mine surveying experience (theory and practice) an asset. Must be proficient in English, French is an asset. Must be outspoken and forthcoming, eager to discuss challenge and explain to students. |

MIME 424 Underground Mining Methods Instructor: Shahé Shnorhokian TA - Marking/Demoing/Other 1 at 61 hrs Duties: Preparation and presentation of tutorials, homework, and numerical modelling assignments on a weekly basis; collection and marking of assignments; coordination with course instructor for assignment materials and correction schemes. Requirements: Requires public speaking ability. Knowledge of Promine and Phase2 would be considered an asset. Open to graduate (M.Sc/M.Eng or PHD) students performing research in Underground mining.
