Leslie Fierro Elected to the American Evaluation Association's Board of Directors

We are thrilled to share that Leslie Fierro has been elected to the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) Board of Directors for a three-year term, serving as a Board Member-at-Large from January 2026 through December 2028.
The American Evaluation Association (AEA) is the largest professional association for evaluators in the world, representing nearly 5,500 members across 60+ countries and a wide range of disciplines — including public health, education, social work, and international development. AEA advances excellence in evaluation by developing professional standards, publishing leading research through the American Journal of Evaluation and New Directions for Evaluation, and offering professional development opportunities that connect and strengthen the global evaluation community.
Each year, AEA nominates six individuals to appear on the ballot for Board Member-at-Large positions. In the 2025 election, approximately 900 members cast their votes, ultimately selecting three candidates to serve three-year voluntary terms on the Board. Leslie’s election is a testament to her leadership, expertise, and deep commitment to advancing ethical, inclusive, and high-quality evaluation practice.
We couldn’t be prouder to see Leslie representing McGill University and Max Bell. Her election highlights the impact of her thoughtful contributions to the field and her ongoing dedication to building more equitable and evidence-informed approaches to evaluation.
