In this section, you will find information on our admissions eligiblity requirements and categories, deadlines, supporting documents, and our admissions process and policies. We also have a detailed FAQ.

Upcoming deadlines

  • The online application for Fall 2022 admission will be available on 1 September 2021.
  • The online application deadline for University, Mature, and Advanced Standing applicants is 1 November 2021.
  • The deadline for supporting documents for University and Mature applicants is 8 November 2021 and the supporting documents deadline for Advanced Standing applicants is 15 January 2022.

Deadlines must be respected. Late applications are not accepted. There are no exceptions.

Please read through all sections in this Admissions Guide carefully before applying, as there are specific rules that must be followed for the creation and submission of supporting documents. Please note that some of our guidelines for supporting documents have recently changed. As such, please read through the Admissions Guide carefully especially if you are a re-applicant to the program.

Application to our law program requires preparation, planning and reflection. You should apply for admission only if you will be able to start our program on the date you are applying for. If admitted, you will be expected to start your course on the date and term for which you applied and as indicated on your admission offer letter. International candidates are responsible to ensure they will have a valid status to study in Canada (i.e. student visa, permanent residency, etc.) before registration and should plan the timing of their application accordingly. Because of the small enrolment of our program and the competition for admission, the Faculty of Law does not normally accept requests for deferred entry.
