Internship hosts in the private, public and non-profit sector create and share internship postings for the Winter and/or Summer terms

Internship hosts can refer to the following resources:

Site Supervisors are invited to participate in panel discussions, internship fair and speed networking activities with B.A.(Ed) students.

Summer Internship Timeline

November to end of April

Intern recruitment period for Summer term (May to August).

Following acceptance of internship offers, students complete Internship Proposal Form and submit for review and approval by the Internships Administrator

Dates to keep in mind:

Winter Reading Week: March 1 - 5, 2027

April/May to late August

Summer term Internship period

Internship Agreement & Learning Plan to be completed and signed by Site Supervisor, student, and Internship Administrator by latest two weeks after internship start date.

Work terms can be longer than 150 hours but first 150 hours will be evaluated by Site Supervisor as minimum requirement for Internship.

Late August

Employer Student Evaluation and Student Self-Reflection and Assessment forms completed and submitted by end of internship

Assessment forms need to completed before grading deadline (third Friday in August).

Students receive Pass/Fail grade for Internship course (EDGC 398).

*For Winter internships, offers must be accepted by mid-December.

Fall Reading Week: October 9 - 14, 2026

Exams & Holiday Closure: December 7, 2026 -  Jan 1, 2027
