Workshops of the Multilingual Interpretation of the OST Project
The Multilingual Interpretation of the OST Project includes, as part of the process, workshops in each language to engage diverse stakeholders and to analyse preliminary research results.
Spanish Workshop, August 3rd-4th 2026, San José, Costa Rica

The Spanish Version Workshop will take place in San José, Costa Rica. It is hosted by the Centro de Investigaciones Espaciales of the Universidad de Costa Rica on August 3–4. The program will include a visit to the San José Planetarium.
Invitations have already been sent, and we look forward to welcoming government officials, academics, and private sector representatives from across Hispanic countries. This inaugural workshop promises to be a great contribution to the understanding of international space law.

French Workshop, September 23rd-24th 2026, Montreal, Canada
The IASL is thrilled to announce the second workshop of its project on the Multilingual Interpretation of the Outer Space Treaty. The Multilingual Interpretation of the OST is supported in part by funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
The French Version Workshop will take place at the McGill Faculty Club, hosted by the McGill Institute of Air and Space Law on September 23rd-24th.
