International Partnerships

McGill program offerings at the graduate level include several opportunities for international engagement built into the program structure. Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies assists departments in forming new partnerships and putting into place Cotutelles, Joint, and Dual Degree Programs.

A Cotutelle is a formal agreement for joint doctoral supervision between McGill and a partner institution outside Canada. It allows PhD students to receive training and conduct research under shared supervision from supervisors at both institutions, supporting international collaboration. Cotutelles partnerships can be coordinated with most international universities.
