User fees for instruments and equipment apply to independent use following the completion of required training provided by facility staff. When staff assistance or technical support is required, the applicable hourly technical staff rate will be added to the hourly instrument or equipment usage rate.

All other direct project-related costs—such as telephone usage, photocopying, consumables, reagents, and similar expenses—are billed based on the actual costs incurred by the facility. Unless otherwise specified, a one-hour minimum charge applies to all instrument usage and technical staff time.

Routine services, as well as the use of standard instruments and equipment, are invoiced monthly.

For customized or specialized service projects, we will work closely with clients to identify opportunities to minimize costs. If facility staff determine that a project would be more efficiently billed as straight hourly labour plus materials—rather than on a per-sample basis—we will consult with the client to select the most cost-effective pricing structure.

“RUSH” or “on-demand” services are subject to a 100% surcharge. Any work requested to be prioritized ahead of previously scheduled jobs will be classified as “RUSH” or “on-demand.”
