Welcome to the Facility for Electron Microscopy Research (FEMR).
The Facility for Electron Microscopy Research (FEMR) at McGill University is a world-class, open-access centre dedicated to advanced electron microscopy. The FEMR provides a comprehensive suite of resources, expertise, and services for both routine and specialized sample preparation, imaging, and analysis. The facility supports a wide range of materials, including biological matter, hydrated and beam-sensitive materials, and ambient-temperature materials.
Over the years, the operation of the FEMR has been sustained through the generous support of several key partners, including the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), NanoQuebec-Quebec Nanotechnology Infrastructure (NQ-QNI), Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), Natural Science & Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada, Fonds de recherche Santé Québec, Prima Québec, Galenvs Sciences Inc., and McGill University.
