Screening: "There is something in the water"

Friday, April 16, 2021 10:45to13:00

In line with the Faculty of Dentistry's EDI committee's efforts to create an inclusive environment, the RSBO AGORA group and MDGSS have organized a documentary screening session with the author and producer of the documentary, Dr. Ingrid Waldron herself.

The documentary, "There is something in the water", is about environmental racism in Nova Scotia, and is directed by famous Canadian actors, Elliot Page and Ian Daniel.

We believe this is a perfect opportunity for the faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students to learn about environmental racism in Canada. They will also have the chance to ask their questions from Dr. Waldron directly.

Date: April 16th, 2021
Documentary screening: 10:45-12:00 Eastern Time
Discussion with Dr. Waldron: 12:00-13:00

We will broadcast the documentary through two mediums: Netflix Teleparty and Zoom. You could either watch the documentary with us or watch it on Netflix on your own and then join us for the discussion from 12-13 pm.
