McGill University has chosen a new name that will take its men’s varsity teams into the University’s third century. The name — chosen with the aim of paying homage to Athletics and Recreation’s tradition and history while simultaneously uniting our community — is the McGill Redbirds.

Fitness Access McGill (FAM) supports students with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses or other impairments on campus with accessing physical activity opportunities on McGill’s campus.
FAM provides individuals with an exercise program specifically tailored to their bodies, and with access to adapted exercise equipment at McGill. Exercise activities are done in small group setting, with other FAM participants, with support from an exercise physiologist specialized in adapted physical activity.
A new athletic financial award -- known as the Jean Béliveau Award -- has been established at McGill University to recognize outstanding student-athletes and honour the memory of the legendary Montreal Canadiens captain and inspirational community leader.
