LEVEL UP: The Change Maker's Guide to Teamwork & Leadership (PART 2)

DESCRIPTION: The intention of this interactive three (3) part program is to empower participants in developing teamwork, leadership skills, and practical strategies for operating in a range of plausible yet unpredictable futures. Please note that this is Part 2 of the series and focuses on intentionality, conflict resolution and more.

Desired outcome of Part 2:
Increase understanding about why being intentional regarding organizational norms is essential and relevant for success
Develop greater awareness of implicit and explicit organizational/group norms; how these show up and inform organizational/collective results.
Improve clarity about how to establish & maintain organizational norms that facilitate cohesion and organizational adaptiveness

Desired outcomes of the PROGRAM include:

Engaging in a learning community through interactions, experimentation, and sharing.
Recognizing and welcoming inclusive practices into team settings.
Practicing strategic collective processes such as decision-making in various contexts.
Defining actions to be implemented to develop resilience as leaders, team members, and learners.

Ideally you will be able to use your audio and video in breakout rooms for some activities.

Crash Course in Interviewing

Boost your confidence before your interview. We will share our best interview preparation tips and explore the similarities and differences between interviewing virtually and in person. The 30 minute session will be followed by a brief Q&A.

International Students: Finding Work in Canada Part 1 = Work and Work Permits

Landed a summer internship/job and wondering how to prepare? In this workshop we’ll cover key tips and useful information to “know before you go,” goal-setting, and pre-reflection questions designed to help you be intentional about your experience.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify the key considerations for getting started in your role
  • Understand goal-setting for professional success
  • Reflect upon the pre-internship experience

 

All confirmed attendees will receive a copy of the slides directly following the course. Please note that these sessions may be recorded. To qualify for CCR recognition, you must register for and sign into the online zoom event using your McGill email address.
