After a PhD in Communication Studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Lena A. Hübner is now a FRQSC postdoctoral fellow (2022-2024) in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University. Currently, under the supervision of Dr. Carrie Rentschler, she is investigating how cyberviolence affects underprivileged racialized women’s online informational practices in the Quebec context. She is also interested in digital feminist activism against sexualized violence and the role whiteness plays in academic research. Lena A. Hübner recently co-authored the article “Feminist Mobilizations on Facebook and Twitter: The Case of #StopRapeCulture in Quebec” (2020) published in the French peer-reviewed journal Terminal.
