We’re pleased to invite members of the McGill community to a lunch-hour online presentation about accessible and equitable AI in post-secondary education.
Find out what artificial intelligence (AI) reveals and what it obscures, especially for people with disabilities. We will also explore the intersection of AI, inclusion and accessibility and consider opportunities for automation and assistive technologies to remove barriers for people with disabilities.

About our presenter, Jutta Treviranus
Jutta Treviranus is the director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC) and professor in the Faculty of Design at OCAD University. Her presentation and keynotes concerning accessibility and inclusion include appearances at the White House and the United Nations.
Jutta has served in advisory roles for a number of boards and organizations, including the W3C, WAI and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. She is currently serving as Chair of a standards committee that recently published Canada’s standard on Accessible and Equitable Artificial Intelligence Systems - Technical Guide, Government of Canada.
