Dear Colleagues,

I hope you enjoyed a restful and restorative summer. As a new academic year begins, I want to extend a warm welcome back on behalf of all of us at McGill University.

Your guidance and support play such an essential role in helping students navigate their post-secondary journey, and we are grateful for the care and expertise you bring to that work. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with you in the months ahead as you prepare your students to explore their futures and consider McGill as their next destination.

This year, our Recruitment team will be reaching out with updates on events, application timelines, and resources designed to make the admissions process as smooth as possible for you and your students. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us if there is anything we can do to support you, and don't forget to join our mailing list!

Wishing you and your students a rewarding and inspiring year ahead.

Warm regards,

Régine Duboulay

What about transfer credit and advanced standing?

Students do not apply for transfer credit or advanced standing. Courses taken at CEGEP, university, or through various high school curricula (such as Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate or Advanced Levels), must be indicated in the student’s application. Once the student has been admitted and has accepted their offer, their file will automatically be reviewed for credit and possible exemptions.
